I bought these as Nuke Greens and asked a few people if they thought they were and got mixed responses. What do you think?

They sure are BRIGHT! But my first hunch is to say no, not Nuclear Greens. I would leave them be for a while, and see what happens.

I think they are nuclear greens, but am curious as to why they wouldn't be considered nuclear greens. Is there some defining characteristic that these are missing?

The growth pattern on them is a lot different then I have seen and Nukes I have had in the past were a little more yellowish. Also, I have bought "Nukes" before that weren't them and I got from a swap so I didn't know until I got home.
The guy I got these from offered a refund if they turned out not to be them but I thought I would ask here. It sounds like I am going to keep them and probably when some new polyps pop out they will look different.

looks good to me. camera, lighting ,tank condition ,could all effect the look. if i bought those as nuke greens i would have no probelm with them. many many many of the so called different Special zoas we all buy and sell are really the same dang thing just all under different conditions.

I have some nuke green in my for sale tanks that are dang near glowing. then in my bio cube i put a small frag. the ones in the biocube are dirt brown now and you would walk past them 1000 times in a store never giving them a second thought.

florescent green mouths, slightly gray tips and ribbing from the center to the outside..yup! nuclear greens!

Here are the Nuclear Greens I used to have:

Regardless of what they are, I say keep em, cause they are cool!

I said no because the Nuc Greens I have seen have been more yellow/green, but then again, I am an SPS guy, so what do I know? ;)

I'd say yes, just looks like there going through a rough pacth is all, they should bounce back.
