Any level of actual nitrite are not healthy for marine life at all. That is precisely why waiting till the cycle is completed before adding fish to our systems is a good rule to follow.Throw the nitrite test kit out, you don't need it and the result is probably an error. Low levels of nitrite are harmless to marine life. What I'd do in your case would be to get a big bottle of "TIME", keep your levels stable and continue with what you have been doing.
Salinity-1.026
Temp-78
Nitrates-2 (salifert)
Nitrites-10 ppb = .10 ppm (Hanna)
Phosphorus 19 ppb =0,058 ppm (Hanna)
Phosphates 0 (salifert)
PH - 8.2 (API)
ALK - 8.3 (Hanna)
CAL - 438 (Hanna)
MAG - 1490 (Salifert)
Thank you for the current numbers and pictures.
Your Ca, Mg, Alk are fine, and I would not be concerned with them.
My thought is that your corals are hungry with zero phosphates and 2 nitrates. If you are going for a ULNS, a trace t0 .02 Po4's and 3 to 5 ppm on nitrates is a good place to been. Myself I run a higher nutrient system and keep my phosphates and nitrate a bit higher and I feed heavy.
My suggestions would be to try the RS reef energy, worked well when I used it and since you are using the program. To help get your nutrient levels up, feed heavy, or use some type of coral food such as the reef nutrition products to feed the corals. .
Thanks man. I'm guessing my nitrite Hanna test is off to. But my low range phosphorus is reading some numbers so it's not zero. The salifert phosphate is not very good i dont think. And my nitrates were about 2. Still very low I know.
I feed RS energy AB twice a week along with a mix of oyster feast and reefroids. I just recently started target feeding each coral with this mix. So hopefully I start to see some better results.
Thanks for all your help guys. I will just keep doing what I'm doing and go from there.
. I have been doing some reading this week on nutrients and it seems in the 60's and 80's in the systems without nuisance algae, and there system look awesome. After two years with my present system I am still looking for the right ratio for my system

I don't agree. Nitrite is not toxic in marine systems, unlike freshwater systems.Any level of actual nitrite are not healthy for marine life at all. That is precisely why waiting till the cycle is completed before adding fish to our systems is a good rule to follow.

Can you measure your ammonia level (NH4)?
I don't think your phosphate level is a problem.
