Are these parameters ok?

Notice how these look almost white. I will try and get some more pics of the other stuff that is losing color tomorrow.

The first pic of this is when it had the best color. This is it now. You can see it's lost slot of color. I think this is the best example of what I'm talking about.

I guess it depends on what someone calls Color. Are you saying some of your Corals are not Fluorescing because with that much Blue you can't even see the Color of the Coralline Algae

The fact that you are still seeing nitrites is still concerning to me. What type of biological filtration do you employ? Nitrites are not healthy for fish and the presence of them makes me feel like you don't have enough area for nitrifying bacteria to colonize within your system. After the nitrogen cycle is complete I actually don't test for nitrites. Perhaps your kit is bad anyway?
Why are you testing for phosphates twice? I use the Hanna checker for phosphate and like it better than the others.
As for your results:
Your Alkalinity is on the low side, I would bring it up a little.
Your Magnesium and calcium are both on the high side but just leave them alone and don't dose either, they will come down as the system consumes them.
Everything else looks good.

Throw the nitrite test kit out, you don't need it and the result is probably an error. Low levels of nitrite are harmless to marine life. What I'd do in your case would be to get a big bottle of "TIME", keep your levels stable and continue with what you have been doing.

Any level of actual nitrite are not healthy for marine life at all. That is precisely why waiting till the cycle is completed before adding fish to our systems is a good rule to follow.

Salinity-1.026
Temp-78
Nitrates-2 (salifert)
Nitrites-10 ppb = .10 ppm (Hanna)
Phosphorus 19 ppb =0,058 ppm (Hanna)
Phosphates 0 (salifert)
PH - 8.2 (API)
ALK - 8.3 (Hanna)
CAL - 438 (Hanna)
MAG - 1490 (Salifert)

Thank you for the current numbers and pictures.

Your Ca, Mg, Alk are fine, and I would not be concerned with them.

My thought is that your corals are hungry with zero phosphates and 2 nitrates. If you are going for a ULNS, a trace t0 .02 Po4's and 3 to 5 ppm on nitrates is a good place to been. Myself I run a higher nutrient system and keep my phosphates and nitrate a bit higher and I feed heavy.

My suggestions would be to try the RS reef energy, worked well when I used it and since you are using the program. To help get your nutrient levels up, feed heavy, or use some type of coral food such as the reef nutrition products to feed the corals. You could even try direct feeding instead of broadcast feeding for the corals that are bleaching.

FYI: I my case I found that when I ran to low on nutrients, to control algae to have the perfect tank. My corals started bleaching and dying off.

Thanks man. I'm guessing my nitrite Hanna test is off to. But my low range phosphorus is reading some numbers so it's not zero. The salifert phosphate is not very good i dont think. And my nitrates were about 2. Still very low I know.

I feed RS energy AB twice a week along with a mix of oyster feast and reefroids. I just recently started target feeding each coral with this mix. So hopefully I start to see some better results.

Thanks for all your help guys. I will just keep doing what I'm doing and go from there.

Some use stump remover to get there nitrates up, myself I am alway trying to keep my nutrient number under control:rolleyes:. I have been doing some reading this week on nutrients and it seems in the 60's and 80's in the systems without nuisance algae, and there system look awesome. After two years with my present system I am still looking for the right ratio for my system:oops::D

Again, you are doing fine, and tweak it and you will be there. Write down what you are doing now and keep track of you changes for the better or worse until you system finds its right grove.;)

I don't agree. Nitrite is not toxic in marine systems, unlike freshwater systems.

Well heck,
I learn something new daily..
I was always told that nitrites, even in small amounts were toxic..
Just goes to show that no matter how long we are alive we are learning every day...:D
