Are these pineapple sponges

I have a Fluval 13.5 that was set up 1/2/2021 and today I cleaned the overflow area for the first time and these critters were all over the place. I did a little research on here and I’m thinking that they are pineapple sponges but a confirmation or any help identifying would be greatly appreciated.

For reference on the size, the large holes in the intank media basket are about 1/2” diameter.

If they’re squishy sorta then from my limited knowledge, yes they are. I’ve had them before and I think I have some now. Very cool little guys.

It looks like it. It's easier to tell when they are in the water and opened. I have them all over every place that doesn't get light in my system.

Looks more like spirorbid worms to me. Are they soft or hard?

They are soft. My kids play with orbeez and these are soft and slippery like orbeez. I was finally able to get a picture of them under water….

Theyre pineapple, not worms. They are short lived and generally found in shady areas of tank. . Mainly sump

Yes these are pineapple sponges.
