they don't look like the pods I've had in the past. They are bigger. Thanks

By lookin closely at the snail marks on the glass definitely snail eggs!!

I have three types of snails. Turbo's, margaritas, and I forget the third. All algae eaters. They are moving so I thought maybe pods but just don't look right. They only gather in the dirty part of the glass. So baby snails?

They're either baby snails or possibly ostracods. Can you take a couple out of the tank and take another picture?

Hmm, no dice. Lights are off now and I can't see what I'm doing. They move fast like a pod.

This is my finger next to an ostracod. They move pretty fast. At the time I knew it wasn't a pod, but I couldn't pick out what it was until I took the picture with the macro lens.

That looks identical! Shape color and size. What is an ostracod? Good I hope?

Yes they're good. I had a few for a bit like you did, but they didn't stick around. I would let a little film algae grow, let pods and such populate and have a good meal and then clean the glass and get some pics. You can see on the right side of the pic is the "picture side" of the glass. He was up there eating with the rest of them.

When you look at the close up images in google, you may think perhaps it's not the correct ID, that's not what they look like to the eye at all. I was surprised that's what they looked like up close.

That's explains it. I just got home yesterday from visiting family for ten days. A had a tank sitter and she did try to clean the glass but this is what I came home to

lol! Well at least she tried. The film at the bottom is where I ran out of gas and went to bed. I swear, this hobby is the most frustrating, amazing, and fun hobby I've ever got into! Thanks lion! I really appreciate the help!

You're going to have a plethora of wonderful pods. Then your corals will dine well off of the little explosion for a bit. Win Win + vacation = another win!

Cool! I seeded copapods, somehow got amphopods and now I got ostracod! I know my mandarin goby I got a couple weeks ago looks fat and happy! Happy reef happy me! Lol. Thanks again!
