Okay folks picked these up the other day and after the in depth threads lately about difficulty's of getting blue clove polyps out of people's tank...I got to thinking are these as bad?

Is there a way to keep them in control lol besides not putting them in display to begin with... [emoji6]

Thanks

I've never had any problems with these polyps, but if they do get out of hand you can always smother them with some epoxy. GL.

As they said. Keep on it’s own rock. If it gets too much you should be able to sell those fast. I want some and I’ve gone 7 years without saying that about a polyp

Blue Clove polyps are significantly more invasive. I’m actually treating my display with Fenbendazole now to get rid of them.
I thought that's what I had heard and been reading so all of a sudden got a little cold chill when look at taking these out of quarantine and putting in display LOL

Keep them isolated on their own rock for the best result. Nice polyps.
Thanks it was the only Coral I was trying to get in Cherry corals live auction the other day and actually got it couldn't quite believe it but it worked out... LOL that got me wondering if everybody else didn't want it because it's a weed

Will keep you in mind if lose control and have to start chopping them up [emoji6]

They still spread regardless, granted not as bad as blue cloves, but you’ll find new buds in random spots once they become happy in your system....
I avoid cloves altogether, but that’s a biased thing because I love zoas

I haven’t seen That on neon orange or pink ones, is it a sexual reproduction or tiny bits of fragged skin planting?

I’m not sure if they reproduce in our closed systems, but I do know they release polyps/tissue that float around and stick wherever..
Some are more invasive than others like as already mentioned the wretched blue cloves, but all of them spread, it’s just a matter of time.

Did you ever end up putting them in your display. And if so how did they grow? I’ve been eyeballing this type of coral for about six months but have been hesitant.

Yeah I put them in but they melted away and don’t know why..chuckle rest tank doing okay. Trying a similar type again and same deal so guessing tank not ”dirty“ enough.
