Are these purple hornets?

GOT THESE FROM A LFS RECENTLY. JUST CHECKIN ON YOUR OPINIONS. REAL OR NOT?

I think so, yellow ring, purple disk, alternating yellow/purple skirt.
But the baby for some reason looks like a blue hornet with the white center around the mouth being more promenent

I believe that they are both Purple hornets, I know the big definitely is not a blue hornet, so no reason why it would spit up a baby one if it was purple
