Still new to the hobby. Are these eggs from my Astrea snail? Or different snail?

Sorry, but what else do you have in the tank, instead of the Astraea snails?

No those are not.

They’re something that starts with an H.

One sec.

HYDROIDS!

Common in new tanks.

They normally disappear but if they somehow colonize and go crazy they can be a a pain.

Hello everyone, I have stometella snails and brittle star fish in my sump that hitched hike with my chaeto I got. Main tank is just clowns yellow tang hippo tang and hermit crabs along with the astrea snails. Don’t think they are hydroids. They look like round dots formed in circular pattern

Maybe you're right, hard to see from photos. You mean the small white dots yeah?

when i zoom in you're right they're not hydroids. most likely egg sacs. I have absolutely no knowledge of identifying egg sacks though lolll
yep, when we open the photos and zoom them we can see the dots in round pattern, but can't recon to what they belong. Hydroids don't have a eggs like I know at all. if you don't have anything else (mollusks) in the tank, probably it's the Astraea snail, but really this pattern don't look like anything I'm been seen before (every SP of snails have them own pattern when they lie eggs)

Nerite snail eggs or spirobid worms

Astreas broadcast spawn so not them. And nerites look like hard white calcium deposits so not them either...but I'm not sure what species.

Not sure to be honest, it's a bit risky. Can be some pest if you don't see the main source of this eggs, and you do't know about any animal you introduce which can lie this eggs.
I'll take them off and put them in a net sieve (200mu) in the tack to watch what will hatch

Columbellid snail eggs.
@KJ you are a STAR man, that SPs snails I was waiting to find (the name I mean) I have both of the good Columbellid snails in my tank which some people think are whelks, but they aren't! Thank yuo! They are really good grazers in my sump at the moment.

Good to keep? I seek tiny snails in my sump possibly from them?

@KJ using the ID you give actually the "Columbellid snail" I found the SPs which I was looking for so long here they are: Snail 1, Snail 2, Snail 3 (2 of them are the same I think ;) , just to can see the photos for confirmation)
I have this 2 SPs and post them already here (no one ID them for me), now I know them because of you, they sit in my sump, but now I know they aren't bad and I'll drop them in the DT I think, to graze there whatever algae they can find.
What do you think about ?
