I just recieve a shipment which was delayed 1 day. Order twice and happened twice with Ups. The acro colony and the hydnophora. Any chance to survive??

It is hard to tell by the pictures. If there is still healthy flesh maybe frag the best looking parts and hope for the best on the acros. The hydnophora wants to bring death to others so it will probably hold out based on its hatred of other life alone.

They look like they may have a chance. Frag a piece that looks good and leave the rest to see how the colony does.

Who ever shipped these must have done a good job because 2 days and they should be toast.

Are you keeping that SPS on the sandbed like in the pictures? They will probably die if you do not move them up in your water column in order to get more light and flow. No wonder they look that way.
Hopefully you can rescue them.

Plus. Isn't your tank like 2 months old? Not much will survive in the SPS coral spectrum with a tank that new.

Did you take the temperature when the corals arrived? Temperature swings are the reasons why corals die during transit and i've had corals arrive in 65degree and some survived but most died.
I would say I may have had a better chance had I put the corals in low or indirect light for a few weeks while they recover. Putting the corals in low or no light allows them to slowly regenerate themselves and worked for on multiple frags. Recently I had Monti totally bleach out and its now recovering when I put it under my aquascape its regrowing over the deadparts. Its worth a shot if your tank is stable and your not blasting the corals with light there is a small chance they can rebound.

Temp was quite low, I live in MN, quite cold today, the coral come with temp around 60 I guess, cuz the heat pad only last for 30 hours as what shipper told me. It was sitting for about 10hour without heat pad, and outside temp is around 20F.
I think monti has greater chance to heal, when comparing to Acro, what I see at the moment is just the skeleton of the acro, most of the deep tissues came out in the bag water ( super cloudy, bad smell). I will take a look at the acro for few days, hydno seems to have 1/2 alive. Have you seen any acro come back in this situation?

I had a tri-color valida arrive in <65 and came back after few months, however, this is just a hardier acro. I had another green maricultured acro arrive in same water and it survived for about 4 months before RTN. Both arrived in 24 hrs so they where not as bad as yours. I would frag them up and put them in low light, Most will perish but a few may thrive.
