Are these Tanks Nano Tanks

Hi all, the R 2 R Forum is great for reaching out. The Tanks below are both completely self contained ( AIO ) and are based on a new filter technology that does not need Live Rock. All the Bio Activity ( anaerobic and aerobic ) and all the Mechanical Filtering is done with Two Fabric Cores ( they must be HDPE Knitted Shade Cloth 85 % ). They replace the two Foam Cores on a cheap Fresh Water Foam Filter Unit. They are self cleaning, larval friendly, and absolutely destroy Ammonia, Nitrite, and Nitrate ( 145 ppm Nitrate to 5 ppm Nitrate in a 12 hour test ). Add the Protein Cannon made from another Foam Filter Unit and the system has Hard Coral Water. The Water Pump is a USB 5 Watt Pump that sits atop the Filter Complex. An Air Pump runs the Protein Cannon and the embedded Air Stone. The Seahorse tank took 6 hours to build and got two pre seasoned Cores from the Marine Pond. It got Seahorses the next day. If Live Rock is used it won't be Seasoned for 6 weeks ( works fine to run on Cores alone ). The Seahorse Tank will never have Live Rock due to Dangers. If this Tech works for you, I'm in all the way.

Hi Aqua Splendor, I am new to the Forum and was not really sure if 10 gallon tanks were too large for Nano tanks. There have been 3 gallon and 5 gallon tanks here that were clearly Nano tanks. At 10 gallons ( 80 lbs ) the weight alone causes me some concern. What is the largest Nano tank by convention in this Forum? A 20 gallon Tank would weigh 160 lbs for water alone. That would definitely crush my end tables.

If you're asking what defines a nano, generally under 40 gallon is a nano. Pico would be even smaller, like around 5-ish gallons.

I am very surprised to hear that over 20 gallons can still be a nano. There was a 35 gallon Bow Front here that was huge ( for a Nano ). That's like 300 pounds of water sitting over a Berber carpet.
