Hi All,

These creatures started to pop up from my sand bed and now attaching to one of my corals.

What are these things? Good or Bad, if bad, how to I remedy the issue? Any idea how these things came to exist? My tank is a year old and only recently these things started poppin up.

Thanks in advance.

I have used peppermint shrimp before and worked great twice (cheap and fast). It would be nice once the Aptasia is gone pass them on to a friend or possible LFS because mine disappeared once the aptasia was gone and neither took long to happen.

My Peppermint shrimp eat them but they don't work for everyone. If you have a syringe and vinegar you can inject them and they'll die.

I too was one of the lucky ones and had a crew of pepps that ate them.

Looks like you have quite an infestation. What size tank do you have? Peppermint shrimps will probably be your best bet. Use a large crew of pepps and take them out once all the aiptasia is gone.
