are these trashcans safe?

I know the Brute are safe but are these safe as well, anyone use these?
I wanted to get something smaller to start cooking dry rock to cycle it for a few months before i move to a larger tank

It's just polyethylene so it's fine. Just clean it good to remove any contaminates from manufacturing and shipping.

thanks. Never used trash cans before So I wasnt exactly sure what was safe other than the brutes

Look at the recycle label stamp on the bottom. The code will tell you what class of plastic it is.

That can is fine as far as safety of the polyethylene, but I'd spend the couple bucks more and get the Brute....thicker walls and will hold up better. As far as size, they carry a number of different sizes, including a 20 gallon Brute.
