Newbie here!
I got a struggling and sad candy cane from a local hobbyist. It's bouncing back nicely, but is covered in these little tubes...I noticed them multiplying!

Are these vermitid snails? I haven't noticed these tubes on anything else in the aquarium, should I isolate/remove/treat this candycane? I mean, I could also probably just cut off a lot of it too...

Yes they are.
I would definitely isolate it until you clean up all the vermetids. You don't want to make it easy for them.
Cut off their tubes and vigorously scrape the area the tube was to kill the worm.

Thank you! It's placed back in the coral QT tank - I'll cut off as much dead skeleton as I can and scrape the worms off.
