Are Vortechs only powerhead w/ external cord?

Do I need to spend $750 for 2 Vortech MP40s?...or are there other options?

My flame wrasse keeps finding the small hole in the corner of my tank...where the cords from the powerhead come out. I could seal it off but then it's a pain to take out the powerheads or screens for cleaning/maintenance.

That's kinda what I was thinking. The price point would suggest they don't have any/many competitors.

The patent on those is up in 2024 i think?? Gonna be a while yet

Ouch...well think I'll have to wait on them then. Maybe another vendor will find a loophole and get something else on the market lol.

Check for used ones. They can be found for $200-$250. Stick with the QD version.
