So my alk, ca and mg levels have been stable for over a couple months. The last two weeks they have started to drop (assume coral consumption). Most of my algae has died in the fuge, I see calcified brown spots (assume coraline algae) and my corals have seen significant growth in the last week and half. One acorporia coral has 1/2 inch of new growth. I know this because I fixed it at an angle and this new growth is heading towards the light and not at the placement angle.

Is the tank now considered mature or are there more trials to come.

Sounds like your on the right track. How long has your system been up and running?

How old is the tank ?

6 months. Been through lots of algae battles, cyano, pod populations have gone up and down. No fish deaths, a couple corals that are beyond recovery, but I've been real happy with what I've seen in the last couple weeks. Was beginning to think coral only turns white and never grow.

Just keep it stable and it will continue to take off! Bravo!
