That’s what I’m going through right now. I use to have a wall of stacked rocks. Removed them to create an NSA. I’ve built and taken apart my NSA like 10 times trying to find a style that fits my aesthetic and also provides ample hiding places for fish and spots for corals. I’m exhausted from the process. Hoping I’ll be done soon. Glad you found something that stuck for you.
Definitely. That’s the most important thing, hands down. Making sure fish and inverts have ample hiding and scavenging places and corals have ample places to grow and expand freely. However, I think there are so many different ways to design an aquascape that not only makes your aquatic friends happy but that also can serve as a piece of art for your individual aesthetic.
For me, it was best to sit down, and look through a ton of ideas from other's on here. Then I took personal favorite aspects from aquascapes I liked and incorporated them into my tank. I would've went a little more crazy? But only so much you can do with a 20g cube haha
Fish seem to be out in the open more since theres more caves and stuff for hiding
Yeah, I took screenshots of scapes I liked from here and google. But every time I built something, it just didn’t turn out how I wanted. I think I’m hopefully getting close though.

True and it should be that way too. Aquascapes look much different to after corals have grown in and there is color and life.

I like the structure on the right. Maybe some more branches/caves coming forward on the left or middle structures to give more 3 dimensional vibes?I still feel like mine is lacking something. A talker middle pillar perhaps? What do you fine folks think?
