Are Zip ties okay to use?

Hello Reefers,
I am wondering if I can use zip ties to connect my rock together for my aquascape. I have 80 lbs. of Pukani rock that is like swiss cheese and is difficult to use any kind of cement.

Zip ties and fiberglass driveway/sidewalk markers are great for aquascaping.

Yes. But make sure there are no metal parts. And the will only last a year or two in a reef tank, after that some of them break. Their getting weaker over time in saltwater(at least the cheap ones ).

If possible use black ones, not white, it'll look better, and good quality black ones are normally UV resistant and will probably last longer.

ive used zip ties for coral placement/rock scape lol no worries there. sometimes you cant get the putty to hold so the reinforcements come out

They make zip tie guns, that will tighten the zip tie down to as tight as you want it.
I've found it will crumble rock.

Yes they are fine I use zip ties to attach my frag racks to the pvc legs I made
