So I was just looking at my tank, and I found a sundile snail feasting on a single Zoa poly on a rock. I haven't seen any in the tank before, and my Zoas (I only have 3 frags right now) are fine. The sisgle polyp he seemed to be eating was just a hitch hiker. My question is how likely is it that there are more of these guys? Is it common to have just one or 2?

They are pretty easy to deal with and you may just have the one. Sundials are usually active at night so best time to look is an hour or two after lights out. Also, you can usually find them hiding under your colonies or tucked between the polyps during the day. The good thing is that they don't eat too fast and don't seem to reproduce in the tank like nudis.

since you only have 3 frags, you should be able to monitor them and I would recommend just doing a FW dip just in case.. as long as your zoas are healthy, they should bounce back right away... I would recommend doing the dip just an hour or less before the lights go off so your zoas can have a lot of time to recuperate in the dark.. :D

I figured it was nothing to worry about I was just wondering how fast (if at all ) they reproduce.
