Argonite Arm Coarse add to sump?

Hi Reefers
I bought 1 gallon of Argonite Arm Coarse and it’s been rinsed well from tank water after doing a water change. I don’t have a calcium reactor but would I like to add the Argonite to the sump and then put coral fragments on the argonite. Is it safe to do this?

Maybe consider putting it in a plastic tray to easily remove. Sound like it would be a major detritus trap otherwise.

It’s in a plastic tray with holes water will pass through
