Yesterday they all didnt open up, and have wilted stalks. Im really afraid for em. They were about, mid tank/med flow. I moved em lower and to the side. If I know em well, they should open up and start extending their stalks to the light, but its too early to tell right now.

1 suspect: Bangaii. I turned on the moonlights yesterday when I woke up to find him like rubbing on them or swimming over them or something. Do they do anything like this?

This is the paly that I lost quite a but of money ... I tried to keep it 3 times and as some of you know they aren't cheap .. I gave up after my third one.. The most polyps I grew was about 15 then melted in a matter of weeks ....

Goodluck with it and update us .. thanks

Yep those and darth maul type palys seem to be near impossible to keep alive.

Marvin and I have probably tried 20 different times with little to no success.

Doubt the bangaii has anything to do with it. I would cut the frag and locate each piece in a different area, and maybe try dipping one of the pieces.

This will give you the best chance of saving at least some of them.

No sense in putting all your eggs in one basket.

Yea I have had these for coming up on a year now. No problems ever. When I checked today with the moonlights, they were opened in the dark. Hope they look good when I get home. Going to the fish store today (since its right near my college), might pick up some Lugol's

My max was about 100-110 polyps. I sold Marv the last ones, and I still feel bad his whithered. Despite being opened and moved, they have very "squished" looking stalks. The only change Ive made to the tank was extending the light schedule by about 45 mins-1 hr last week, and Im going to guess thats the reason. Im going to bring it back down today

Yea theyre all dead :cry::cry::cry::cry:

Im not going to try again, despite them being really nice. Ill just get some other type of zoanthid or chalice, because I need something with that color red in there

How long have you had them before they die?

Yea your backups have you a backup frag buddy. ;)

Dude you gave us good deals, plus that's what backups do! That's the whole point in a back up. :D
