My tank has lots of bristle worms and I am interested in trying to decrease the population. I placed an order for an arrow crab at a local store although after reading about them a bit more, I am concerned it will attack my cleaner shrimp. I currently have a 29 gallon tank with two clownfish and a tail spot Blenny. Will an arrow crab cause issues in my tank or should I not worry about it?

It's hit/miss with those guys. I have seen some that postured up or attempted to attack anything that got close to them, while others could not care less about the other inhabitants in the tank. If you can observe them in the tank in the LFS and see if one is particularly docile then it may be the winner.

Thank you so much for your response. That is great advice do check out their temperament first at the LFS

I understand maybe more need for caution in a smaller tank like a 29.... I have a 150g and have the same question. My cleaner shrimp stays in it's place on one side of the tank. I'm wondering if I can trust the arrow crab to claim and stay on the other side in one the caves/crevices.

Anyone have both in a bigger tank like a 150?
