Yellow tail damsel it is 10 years old. After that is a Purple tang and i have had it for 9 years but would guess it is much older than that as i bought it off someone else.

3 years old.

- Magnificent Foxface, brought as a 2.5-3 inch juvenile and is now 6.5-7 inch

- Copperband Butterfly, brought as a 1.5-2 inch juvenile and is now 2.5-3 inch

- Radiant Wrasse, brought as a 0.5-1 inch juvenile and is now a 4.5 inch beastly male

- Twinspot Bristletooth Tang, brought as a 2 inch juvenile and is now 3.5-4 inch

- Black Photon Clownfish, brought as a 0.5 inch juvenile and is now a 2.5-3 inch nasty female

- Jade Wrasse, brought as a 0.5-1 inch juvenile and is now a 5.5 inch transitional male (although he so far is the submissive out of the two Halichoeres).

Oldest fish I’ve ever kept (including fresh water);
- Weather Loach, brought as a 1 inch specimen and was a 10 inch specimen and was with me 12 years

- Red Tailed ‘Shark’, brought as a 1 inch specimen and was a 6.5-7 inch specimen and was with me 12ish years.

- Occelaris Clown (regular orange), brought as a juvenile pair (0.5-1 inch) and after 14 years were a 4 inch pair.

3 tanks and one failed Apollo mission attempt, the long nose hawk will be 8 years in my possession in March.

Other of note, these guys/gals (Chromis) came out of my dad's tank, they were at least 15 years old plus before the croaked to flukes early last year. Spawned & shoaled to the end.

Keep em coming! It does look like Blue Tangs, at least some of them, do exceed 8” in captivity. Not a fish for small tanks or even medium-large. They need a large tank.

I have a pair of GSM clowns that have been with me for 26 years this year.
They were about 1" when I got them.
The female is a fat 4'-5" and the male is about 2-1/2".

If you are asking me, the clowns are very aggressive. The female can and has drawn blood. The male just does alot of posturing. He does the best he can.
I had a Flame Angel that lived about 10 years and a Coral Beauty Angel that lived about 12 years. Have no idea why they died. Although the Coral Beauty seemed to get really fat near the end. Maybe a bowel issue?

No trouble at all. They hardly even looked at each other.
I am assuming the Flame did die of old age, but I have no idea what the age limits would be.

Just remembered another I lost due to a tank change over in 2019 (going from my old 3’ to my current 4’);
A 13 year old (TT) Coral Beauty Angel, I brought it as a 1.5-2 inch specimen and was a 4 inch specimen when she died. This isn’t the best photo however it’s the only one I could find of her (I trimmed it down as it’s from my old tank’s FTS).

Yellow tang - 12 years and going strong

I have a sailfin and hippo tang that are both 8-9” and a yellow that is about 5”. I have no idea their age though. I know they are at least 5 1/2 years old as that is the age of the tank. I bought a used system which included the fish so I’m not sure how old or big they were when they were originally added

Yellow Tang. 13 years. Was about 2 inches. Paid $29.99. Now is 4 inches or so. Still very healthy despite all the things it has endured (my mistakes). Fat and a deep yellow.
