I ordered a few things from ASD sale. One that caught my eye was their neon long polyp joker monti. Does anyone know the care or name of this species of monti? I can not find anything about it.

I purchased one from them about a month ago. It's retained its color and has almost doubled in size. I don't now much about the species but I can say Mine seems to likes moderate light (led/T5) and higher flow.

Thanks. I have found no info on it. So anything is a bonus. Is it encrusting, platting or digitada like?

Tab28 The info on this coral is pretty limited. I know that other coral vendors have used the same name. ASD seems to change names of the same corals from time to time. Not knocking them since Will always brings great corals at great prices. I watch their weekly sales and from one week to the next the same pictured coral could have a different name. Maybe to help with sales or trying to avoid using another vendors proprietary names. Don't know if this coral somehow evolved into a monti or actually is a monti. To me it appears to be Alevopora minuta. I'm no expert on corals but have researched this particular coral and haven't found much. With mine it appears the polyps have 12 tips on them which is similar to Alveopora. Below is a link to the closest thing I could find to the mysterious Joker long polyp monti. As for mine it is more of an encrusting coral. The purple tissue on the coral is rough like sandpaper. Similar to psammocora's. The polyps retract mainly at night and once my lights are on they're immediately out for the entire length of the cycle. I remember another post on R2R and another forum about a particular members take down of an existing tank and rebuild. She had what looked to be a Joker LP Monti that was pretty large in size and stated the thing grew like a weed. Along with no desire to put into the new build. No other details from that member. Just a photo and that it grew like a weed. I've enjoyed watching mine grow and seems to be a pretty hardy coral. It's one of my wife's and kids favorites.

Thanks. You are right they do look similar. Only time will tell if it is truly a monti. But now i have an idea on care and where to mount it.

Your welcome. Mine is mid tank and I've tried direct feeding multiple products and get no reaction. Seems to be happy so I don't bother it much.
