ASM mini g skimmer thoughts

Anyone out there using this skimmer? If so, what are your thoughts? What size tank are you running it on?

I ran one on my 55 gallon a couple years ago, it is decent if you can pick up one cheap used, but if you are buying it brand new there are better options out there(Reef Octopus, SWC) for the same price or just little bit more.

Used one for about a year, cheaply made, overpriced, but does a decent job. Ran on a 40g.

I have it but don't know how well it works as the pump went out in the first month.

I did pick one up used for $50 which I thought was a pretty good price. Should get here any day now. What depth of water did you guys run yours at? Should I aim for the normal 8-10"?
