I have been noticing a few asterina stars popping here and there on my tank tanks glass. Today I observed a set of reddish eggs on my torch (had it for over year), with a astetina star on top of them. Makes me wonder could it be asterina eggs?

That’s what I know too. I came across a thread on another forum claiming that they do and that they look similar to AEFW.Asterina don't lay eggs as far as I know.

Any ideas what those could be?
Asterinid (family Asterinidae) starfish, including starfish from the genera Asterina and Aquilonastra (they're separate genuses within the same taxonomic family), do in fact lay eggs (see the link at the bottom of this post) - though fissiparous reproduction (dropping legs to reproduce) is the most commonly used form of reproduction for Aquilonastra spp. in our tanks.Asterina Starfish reproduce by dropping one of more legs
Pics too red to see eggs but they reproduce by dislocating a leg and that leg becomes a star and that star breaks off a leg and so forthI have been noticing a few asterina stars popping here and there on my tank tanks glass.
