If you think they are reef safe or the many comments I see of " Theyre no harm:. . . . . . I thought my scramble eggs zoas were getting thin and I happened to get up extra early this morning and Caught on my Scrambled eggs:

I have had a lot of problems with these guys clearing out new frags of zoas. If I can get a plug full of polyps then it seems to be ok but otherwise I consider them a pest to my new additions.

They are definitely a zoa predator. In a tank with all healthy zoas they wont do any harm. But the second the zoa has a bad day (which as we all know they do on a regular basis) they swoop in and attack. They also seem to attack zoas in nutrient deficient tanks, so if there isnt alot of food going in for them to eat, they get hungry and eat zoas. Never seen them eat a paly, but ive seen them mow thru zoas. I have a zero tolerance policy for them in my zoa frag system.

I haven't done zoas but they been good with everything else. I actually welcome them. Are there more than one variety?

I agree with 305reefer. I have caught them eating new zoa additions to my tank and I always remove any that I see.

These are the type I had that were eating zoas in my tank.
