Astraea Snails are dumb

Ugh have to get some smarter less lazy snails and more cerith snails. Came home after being on the road for 30 hours and two of the three upside down. Hope they make it if not then on to some better snails.

Trochus snails are a good alternative - they can right themselves if they fall.

I've got one in my nano that I refer to daily as "dead not dead". Flipped him over three times this morning and now he's trucking around again like everything is fine. They do a good job when they aren't trying to be crab food, but they also like to be crab food.

Monkey flip is their personality ! some rubble on bottom helps with them as when they fall off glass, they can grab onto the rubble and continue on

Puffers don't even bother trying to pick at Astraea snails. They know the dufuses will fall down and try to reach out. Timed snacking!

They are indeed. I've found one on the outside of my tank before. And the constant falling off things and landing on their backs. I tapped some chop sticks together to flip them over.
