Asurion protection plan for reef equipments

Has anyone purchased Asurion protection plan for their reef equipments? Specifically I notice that sometimes Amazon offers Asurion protection for pumps or wavemakers. Anyone ever used it to extend warranty??

I've used it for appliances. The plans are worth it but the problem is they sub contract the work. The repair company that they used for my stuff was absolutely horrible. It took three visits to my house, most of a month and a phone call to corporate before they fixed my dryer. I blame the subcontractor though not asurion.
