So I have a newer 80 gallon cube... couple of clowns purple firefish yellow goby and a couple chromis....Anyways I noticed one clown flashing one clown has a cloudy eye and the firefish is also flashing. No lumps bumps or visual skin issues.. Water parameters are good salinity has been 1.024-25. Everything else is fine. All fish are eating great and a side from those three, everyone else appears to be fine. I have been digging and reading and the best I found was a paper writen by Jay Hemdal, Mucus the slime that binds. Also found a bunch of stuff by Dr.Reef/Humblefish. I suspect gill flukes but not sure. I am thinking of hitting the whole tank with API general cure. This is my first saltwater tank and I am new to this. Looking for anyone's input.

Hi, I would suspect flukes as well. Rather than General cure, have you considered prazipro? If you increase aeration during treatment, it will be well tolerated by your fish. Some gill flukes are egg layers, so you need to dose prazi twice, about 7 or 10 days apart.

I was considering just prazi but then figured General cure had Prazi and Metronidazol...figured it could hurt

I haven't dosed crabs with metronidazole before, and prazi is safe with them.

You could also start soaking the food with selcon, Prazipro only worked momentarily for me but when I added the selcon enrichment it was completely eradicated

I feed frozen brine in the morning (no selcon) and TDO pellets soaked in Selcon before bed. How often did you feed?

Just one cube of mysis soaked in selcon , I didn’t like brine shrimp because I’ve been told that the adults don’t carry many nutrients compared to mysis idk if that’s totally tru

I have tried a few different frozen options and the brine are the only ones they go bat $#$% crazy for
