My pleasure, thank you again for giving me this fantastic skimmer. With all my new expenses it is very helpful. And im impressed already. I have already posted about it on NH frag swap and will do so on Boston reefers as well. Also on my Facebook page. If there's anything else I can do for you all let me know.

This skimmer is working great. Still super quiet. Awesome :)

So my ro water I get from an lfs was really bad. Caused a slime outbreak. I had to use chemiclean. Skimmer was running over for 2.5 days. But has returned to wet pulling now. I love this skimmer. The controller adds to its versatility. Gonna thicken the skim tomorrow. Wanna be sure the chemi is done. :)

These ATB skimmers pull some nasty junk!

Hi Wiz

any updates on the nano one?

I just pulled the trigger on this and was curious how it's still performing. Also, the features say the base plate is removable but in the pics online i dont see screws on the base or the dual bubble plate. is everything hot welded together? Hope not but still anxious to get the skimmer wet.

thanks in advance

Tivo

I have it dialed in very well now and I have to look up every two days. It works extremely well in my opinion. The base is removable it slides on and off from one end. I have not tried to take the bubble played a part yet so I cannot help you on that part just yet but I will explore and get back to you. I will also post some pictures when I can. Hope that helps

I hope you made sense of that. Talk to text is not very accurate. Lol

thanks Wiz

the base plate sliding open is a new one for me. Hmm? Does it have a screw at one point of the outer edge and you kind of twist it in opposite directions like opening or closing a jar?

very curious.

No it is a rail slide like a maxi jet 1200 sliding onto its hanger. There are rails on the base of the skimmer and pockets on the base that slide together

Like the plexiglass that slides over pc or vho lighting

Hi wiz,
I contacted atbusa and they replied back regarding the dual bubble plate removal. They said the plates are press fit and they pop out for cleaning. That's good news to me. I have used a boat load of skimmers and ease of maintenance is critical.

Good to know man. I appreciate it. I swear I will get those pics up ASAP. Very busy lately

Hey @reeftivo,
Here are a few pics of the motor. I was scared by how big it was but it is quiet as a whisper and runs fantastic. I do have a problem with build up on the impeller which is why I am taking it apart to clean it. But I'm pretty sure it's because I put my soda ash solution in right near it. I've got to figure out a fix for that. And the adjustability on the controller is absolutely fantastic.

I figured the pump would be fairly large since it's the same one the 840 uses. you did a good job getting it cleaned up.

mine will arrive Tuesday. waiting is the hardest part:(

thanks for the pics and happy reefing

tivo

i had the same build up as you when i was using kalk. I went back to esv 2 part in my return chamber of the sump with a doser and the build up is not nearly as bad at the venturi.
