ATB or BubbleKing Skimmer

Just wondering from those who have tried both, which did you prefer and which pulled out more gunk from your tank?

I've been running my ATB deluxe 10.5 for over 5 years now and have not had any problems but was looking to get a new skimmer for my new tank.

Both are good skimmers.
Man though price vs performance goes to ATB.
Bubbleking is better quality but at a cost.
I really still also prefer cone skimmers for performance.
You know though allot of skimmers now a days perform very well...

Personally I like Ultra reef skimmer. They perform close to ATB but even cheaper for the most part but higher quality.
They just can be a little hard to come by but can be bought direct and shipped the the US.
I can not believe they still do not have a direct importer. There are a few of us that use this skimmer.

Don't sell your ATB until you are sure that you can do better with a different skimmer. While I think that a large BK might be better, I would not be shocked if it was not. The only skimmer that I think could outperform it would be a LifeReef, but even then... maybe not.

I was leaning towards ATB as well since I was very happy with the old skimmer I got from them.

I like the height that they offer since their skimmers are taller than the others I see on the market, the contact time with the DOCs increase as well but I just wanted to get the opinions of others.

I loved my ATB skimmer and was the best performing skimmer. My issue is they now come standard with Jabao pumps on some models. You still can get Sicce I believe which I recommend, at least you could when I did.
I did get the Jabao and it worked great with mine.
