I currently have the dimmable 6 bulb T5 fixture and was looking for some opinions. I currently run 2 Blue plus from dusk to dawn and then the other 4 bulbs come on around noon. Im thinking about switching the bulb combo so that I have the 4 bulbs on in the morning and night and then the other 2 during the day. So I would have 3 blue plus and 1 actinic on from dusk to dawn and then one coral plus and one purple plus on doing the day period.

Would 4 bulbs be to much to have on during the morning and night?

No, should not be an issue. It's hard to overdo it when using T5 lighting.

Probably not. But it depends upon many factors such as lamp wattage, geometry of reflector, height of luminaire above the water, depth of tank, and last but not least - light tolerance of the corals. But again, unless circumstances are extraordinary - probably not.
