Hey guys I am in the process off upgrading to a bigger tank and I am changing up my lighting. I am going with a ATI t5 non-dimmable 48" six bulb fixture with a 48" reefbrite xho. Does anybody have an apex program/light cycle that they run with this combination that they've had success with? The t5 bulbs I plan to run are 3 blue+, 1 actinic, 1 purple+, and 1 coral+. I may purchase the controller for the reefbrite to allow me to dim it and control that from my variable speed port. So if you have programming which includes dimming the reefbrite via apex, please include as well. My tank is mostly lps and softies, but going to try some sps with this new setup. Thanks in advance for your help. Hopefully I can get this thing lit up.

As far as control u can only program the ati on or off because it's not dimable for the blue reef bright you can do a ramp schedule to do sunrise n sunset. With softy n Lps they don't need bright light anyway so more blue is better. If u look at WWC tank they have spectacular lps tank and it's very blue

Thanks. Good to know. Do you have actual apex programming code? Looking for someone with this same setup who I can copy programming from.

Set OFF
If Time 10:00 to 11:59 Then color10k
If Time 12:00 to 13:59 Then color15k
If Time 14:00 to 17:59 Then color20k
If Time 18:00 to 19:59 Then color15k
If Time 20:00 to 22:00 Then color10k
If Time 22:01 to 09:59 Then OFF

This is the program for the color but your case u don't need it because you only need to ramp the blue reef bright intensity. Below is the program for the intensity

Set OFF
If Time 10:00 to 11:59 Then sunrise
If Time 12:00 to 14:59 Then midday
If Time 15:00 to 16:59 Then midday2
If Time 17:00 to 19:59 Then midday
If Time 20:00 to 21:59 Then sunset
If Time 22:00 to 09:59 Then OFF

Then you defind what is sunrise, miday, sunset in the module program, when you are in the module program chose ramp then you will see ramp time , start intensity, end intensity then you assign a value that suit your need.

I also own a Reef Brite 48” XHO Actinic strip. And I have an Apex controller.

my main lights are 3 AI Hydra 26. I wanted to use Reef Brite for color pop. Good idea or better to use T-5 blu plus bulbs?
