ATI bulbs

I know this has been talked about before, however I want to see what your opinions are. The bulbs I am using are the ones that came with the fixture and its a wonderful fixture 48" t5 x4 I believe 54 watt. There are two actinic and two white. I believe these bulbs are giving me what quality ATI bulbs will as far as color and growth. I see BRS has them for $20 so I need to pick 4. My tank is mixed soft, lps, sps, and fish! A true reef. Give me your best 4 bulb combo! Thank you!!

Hard to answer that question. My 8 bulb fixture has 6 blue plus and 2 KZ fiji purple. I love the look, but some might say it is too much blue.

Hey capt! Do you still have my zoa frag? I appreciate you holding it as I have been busy and away from the forums lately. I do prefer a blue look too I was thinking 3 blue and 1 white.

I still have the frag. The fiji purple is a nice bulb. I am in the planning stages of another build with a Tek 8 bulb fixture and will probably use the same combination, but with this I'll be adding royal blue LED supplemental light.

I'm buying new ATI bulbs for my quad t5 also, and I'm going to go with 2 blue plus, 1 purple plus and 1 coral plus I think. Search the forum cause there's going to be a BRS group buy on the 10th!

If you only have 4 then I would personally go with 3 blue+ and 1 coral+

This is the same combo I was using on my 40breeder before I took it down. It is on the blue side, maybe too much for my taste, some days I loved it and some days it was too much. Another combo that I ran before the last was 2 blue+, an aqua blue special, and a purple+. The latter with a dimmable 3w royal blue led strip would be perfect.
