I'm looking at the sunpower, the light itself can be programmed to turn on/off a set times.

My question is if I should just plug it into the wall and be done or add the redundancy of plugging it into a timer strip which will shut power if it's on when its not supposed to be BUT I also have a concern with that, I have heard of smart power strip failures ie apex so would I actually be making it worse? How reliable are the timers in the ATI? I am occasionally away for work!

@ATI North America @Dana Riddle Thanks all!

I don't have direct experience with ATI units (I'll defer to those who have), but can say I've never had issues with luminaire timer failures. Nor any issues with Apex outlets.

You can program ATI dimmable sunpower to turn on/off/ ramp up & ramp down & intensity 1-100% via ATI fixture build in timer

ATI non dimmable you need a timer to turn on/off, but not able to ramp up/down or intensity

FYI I lose all the setting when I loose power on ATI dimmable( i don't know if it has internal battery to keep time)
