I will be receiving my ati 8 bulb dimmable sunpower on Monday and I'm wondering what a good 12 hour photoperiod would be..also how long to run at %100 and what height it should be from water. I'm switching from led so I want to do it right. This will be for sps.

Do you have PAR or lux meter? It would be good to know your current light level and photoperiod.

8-10" over the water line is a safe starting distance.

Yes I have a seneye. I was using the aquatic life t5 hybrid with hydras. Two days ago I took out the hydras and I'm just running the 4 t5 till Monday. I do have a pic of what my par levels were right before I took the hydras out and that was with the led only at %15. Whole fixture is 5" above water. T5 were on for 10 hours and led on for 12 with 1 hour ramp up/down

an 8-bulb T5 is going to have considerably more PAR at full power. I'd probably start with the same photoperiod, but only ramp up to 60% for ~10hrs. Add 10% to peak every week as long as everything looks good.

That sounds good. I figured %100 would be too much to start out with.

You need to run in your ati bulbs for 60 hours prior to dimming them.
