Just curious if there is anyone out there running this fixture. Looking at purchasing the 48" 8 bulb for a 48x30x22 for my new build. What Bulb combo in what order? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

I have the 4 bulb fixture, love it and getting good growth.

I have:

1 Aqua Plus
1 Coral Plus
2 Blue Plus

The dimming on this fixture is awesome, you will love it.

I had this fixture great light grew sps at any level just didn't like buying 8 lamps a yr so went to leds

Actually, I have this exact fixture! I've been running it for about 8 months now and I absolutely love it. The built in controller/dimmer/timer for the bulbs is awesome, and the fixture is cooled very well. The fans throw out a TON of heat.

I run a 48" Reefbrite to supplement the colors-and it actually bolted right on to the fixture with absolutely no modifications! I did not do this to gain extra PAR-in fact, the Reefbrite in addition to the full 8 bulbs proves to be too much for most of my LPS and Zoas, so I have to shade them.

I don't remember the actual order of my bulbs off hand, but this is the combination I'm running:

1 Purple Plus
2 Coral Plus (love these ones)
5 Blue Plus

I hang mine about 8" over the surface of the water, and get around 1200 PAR at the surface. Down about 12" in the tank, I get around 5-600+ PAR.

This fixture only has one cord for both channels of bulbs and the fan, which is nice. HOWEVER, this means it's not going to work with a separate controller-every time the controller cuts the power to the lights, it will cause your fixture's built in controller to lose the settings you've programmed-like dimming. The fixture does have a battery backup for short power outages, but I'm not sure that it would last all night (when your photoperiod is over).

Hope that helps!

Check out my tank thread for pics of the awesome colors this light fixture brings out in my corals.

Thanks for the help what do you have yours programmed to as far as percentages. I ordered mine today. Can't wait to get it up and running. I have heard of people having issues with the ballast. Hopefully with the newer fixtures they have rectified the issue. I know ati stands behind there product.
