I have a small tank and i recently purchased ATI Essentials 3 part dosing and i know all about how to dose and stuff but i cant find much on how to mix small batches of the the supplements in dont wanna make 10 gallons of it cause it would take forever to go threw lol. looking to make about 1-2 L batches for each so i can hook them up to my doser. I would also like to know how many ppm is in each for 1 ml of solution. Any tips and insight on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Ryan

For part 2 and part 3, it’s a 1:9 ratio. 1 part ati liquid to 9 parts rodi water. For example, you can take one cup of part 1 and mix it with 9 cups water.

The tricky part is the powder(part1). The math would be a bit complicated, maybe someone else can chime in.

Could always dump the powder into something and measure it and divide to get a percentage then make solution with the same percentage as you're doing the other two.

we can't tell you how many PPM is in a L of solution unless you make it as specified.

86g per gallon for Alk, 100mL per 900mL RODI for Cal/Mag

Thats what I thought too initially, but the volume of the powder doesn’t equal the same volume as the liquid. Now that I’m thinking of it though, perhaps the OP could figure it out by weight. Maybe weigh 1000ml of water(let’s call this x), then multiply that by ten. Then weigh the powder (let’s call this y). The formula to figure out the ratio of powder to water would be:

X(10)-Y=Z

Z=the total volume of water in the final solution.

Z:Y is the ratio of water to powder

This can be reduced using the following formula:

Z*(P*0.01) and Y*(0.01) where p is the percentage of the total formula to make (e.g. 10 for 10 percent.

with my superior grade 11 math (in grade 12) its 86g/g 1 gallon is 3.7854 liters and 3.7854 liters is 3785.4 ml so 86g divided by 3785.4 is 0.022 then times that by 1000 is 22.71 grams of alk powder to make a 1 liter solution

Ati has said in the past to try not to make small batches of the essentials 1 - Alk.
They said it’s different alk sources mixed together and they’re weight isn’t the same and when mixed in smaller batches you could be adding more of one than the other.

That applies to many salt mixes and many of the different ingredients. :)
