I'm in the middle of the 50 hour bulb breakin process and this fixture is reading 45 degrees c (celciuls?). I know the special pattern to get to the fan menu, but don't what to change settings to in order to make this cooler

48" ATI 6 bulb dimmable.
Light is 17" above water line.
Water depth is 23"

I know @Sabellafella has the same fixture.

Send me a picture of the fixture and everything atleast 4 feet around it ill let you kno if is ok or not

Ok so i checked my build thread (sorry i forgot lol) and it looks fine to me, id leave it alone as the burn could have a higher temp on the bulbs but it should find a medium withen a week or two. It should then hover around the 40-42 range

Oh oh, so it went down to 40 once I turned the A/C on. Do you leave your A/c running when your not @ home?

Yea reason i asked is you need proper ventilation, ive started to keep my room around 68° witch did the trick, my fixture stays at 40

We keep the A/C on 72. I watched the tank temp go from 77 to 77.8 with the lights on last night. I don't think that small of a swing will cause me aNY HARM.

I've also got the bottom of the fixture 17" above the water's surface. I was thinking about dropping it an inch a week until I find the sweet spot.

Before programmed the heaters for my apex my swings were 1° give or take, heck my frag tank has a 2° swing. It should be ok, just make sure you clean the shield often ,

Also yes dont exceed past an inch if your going to keep dropping it as im 100% positive i bleached a few favias doinso
