here's a link to my latest ICP. I have a copper issue and have ordered the triton detox, Will chemipure blue work at low levels and if anyone is kind enough to look, do you see any other major issues?

thanks in advance for any comments, I have been having one or two issues what the heck slow stn and bacterial necrosis, could the copper be weakening the corals?

Thanks

The Triton detox only works for lead according to them
Seachem Cuprisorb will pull it down.
That level i don't know if its a problem,i've been higher than there myself with nothing totally bad happening.
Rest of it looks pretty good, What salt are you using?

Just looking at the mix of copper/nickel/zinc its possible its the salt or possible if your dosing trace its that BUT i myself would be keeping an eye on that combo that it doesn't keep rising meaning that maybe there is something metal related going on

I don't really do tests but I do understand them.
There are a few things available to remove copper, I think polyfilter will do it.
You need to find the source of it.
What is your water change / RO like?
Check your equipment like pumps and magnets for corrosion.
Do you have the ability to get your RO tested for copper, my lfs test for me if I think I have a problem.
Hope you get it sorted soon.

Taking a quick look at all your numbers I'm going to guess you're dosing a slurry of trace elements or an all in one commercial solution...............if you are, stop. Doing some water changes will get you back in line.

Boom, been dosing FM colour elements weekly. I also aff trace to their 3 part which I am also using.

The salt is also FM, which is good.

I will stop the FM colour elements. For now and see how I go

Thanks

The potential classic double dip..........this can happen with some of these commercial combos.

Yeah, problem is with any of that trace element dosing you don't know you're overdosing till it's too late or the reading finally shows up above ICP levels of detection. With trace metals most of the time when you have a reading above 0 it's likely too much if you are dosing on a consistent basis.

The trace metal numbers from ICP aren't really reliable for this reason either. You basically have to rely on watching the corals and then this gets into dosing a single trace element to see results, which can become a headache.

I do feed flake in the morning with copper in the ingredients could that be significant?
Not. A lot of flakes

Fish foods have all kinds of trace elements in them but i doubt enough to register on any tests. This includes other trace metals like zinc, manganese and iron. If anything, what they have in them is beneficial.
