Hey reefers!

I just got my ATI ICP analysis and despite ATI don't warm me about some results, I have some question about those results that seems not good for some elements..

Here is the results I'm worried about:

- Silicon 178.7 µg/l
- Barium 74.78 µg/l
- Nickel 1.60 µg/l
- Copper 2.79 µg/l
- Bismuth 2.09 µg/l
- Chloride 16407 mg/l

Some SPS start to fade since few months and that's why I did this ICP test. This could be the reason according you?

I think my osmosis system membrane should be change despite it show me 0.00PPM.

According to others members, this could be a problem coming from Aquaforest products as Energy seems to containt copper.. And When I think about that, it almost start when I start Amino, Energy, Build and Vitality.

I'm using probiotic salt, NP Pro and Pro bio S + the 4 others products. A reactor with Zeomix and carbon is also running but without GFO.

Can someone help me solved this problem as some SPS start to fade and are not healthy at all.. :/

Is Detox from Triton can help to remove those metals in a first time?

Thanks :-)

What are your No3 and Po4 readings? My SPS were losing their color also. I had zero No3. I had 4 corals RTN in a week. I started dosing Potassium Nitrate to raise my No3 levels and things seem to be doing better.

Po4 0.00 with the Hanna Checker Po4 (0.03 with ATI ICP) and No3 undetectable with No3 Red Sea Test so I think there is still No3 in the water but not very much.. but I don't get RTN, juste tips burnt and one acropora is fading and becoming brown slowly..

Please indicate your current alk, ca, and mag readings please, with burnt tips my guess is above 8.5dkh. I am recovering from this myself. Also double check your K readings too.

Those numbers seem ok, I would think to make sure and check potassium when you can. Increased K in low nutrients can also cause tips to burn.

Nickle? Can we get a photo of the affected acros please =) sure you can use triton detox, or some time of polymer like tlf metasorb.

I just got my results back from Triton on Monday. I run a full Aquaforest system. Components 1/2/3 ,ABEV, NP Pro and Pro Bio S. I did not register any Ni in my tank.

Will post a pic today when I come back from work !

I will change the osmosis system's membranes and 3 filters today and make a bigger water change than others time with Reef Salt and not the probiotic one.

And then I will start a 3 days dosing of DETOX withtout any carbon and zeo. Will put new zeo and carbon after the treatment is finish and put GFO this time for silicon. Will see what will the results after.

What do you guys think about that?
