Hey reefers!

I just got my ATI ICP analysis and despite ATI don't warm me about some results, I have some question about those results that seems not good for some elements..

Here is the results I'm worried about:

- Silicon 178.7 µg/l
- Barium 74.78 µg/l
- Nickel 1.60 µg/l
- Copper 2.79 µg/l
- Bismuth 2.09 µg/l
- Chloride 16407 mg/l

Some SPS start to fade since few months and that's why I did this ICP test. This could be the reason according you?

I think my osmosis system membrane should be change despite it show me 0.00PPM.

Thank you for your help!

The chloride must reflect low salinity or very high sulfate (if it is accurate). What is your salinity?

I'm not sure the metals (everything on your list except silicon and chloride) are high enough to be a problem. Do you have any metal parts in the water?

Unless you have a diatom problem, the silicon is not a concern.

Indeed, the salinity was a bit low at the moment the ICP test was made. It was 32g/L.

About the metals, I don't have metal parts in the water, but could it be due to my osmosis system membrane which are bit old despite the fact the TDS Meter show me 0.00ppm in the output?

I don't really have a "problem" but I got a few, I need to clean the glasses almost every 2 days to keep them clean.

You shouldn't get significant metals through a DI at 0 ppm TDS.

Hmmm.. Why do I get those metals then? I don't really understand where do they come from.. :/ I'm only using Aquaforest NP Pro, Pro Bio S, Amino, Build, Energy and Vitality, I don't dose any trace elements so..

Regardless of the metals I would suggest you seek help in an AF forum since you seem to be running the whole system.

Foods, supplements (none are ever totally pure), release from GFO or other media, etc.
