ATI LED Retrofit

So idk how nobody has done this but what the heck! I have a 6 bulb Dimmable Sunpower on my SPS tank. Reefbrite slapped on the side looks too gaudy for me. Initially was thinking of Aquatic Life Hybrid with the RB in the middle but this sounds more fun! That and I want something with more 420 in the spectrum.

So my plan is remove 1 bulb and reflector and add a nice low profile heatsink and a variety of LED, probably 2 to 1 ratio of Semiled Violet 410-420 and Cree 450 Royals. Measurements say I have room for 80° lenses as well. Shouldn’t cost much more than $100. With high quality LeDs it should make more PAR than an XHO strip I’m hoping.

Oh yeah I guess I could’ve worded that differently. I had one of those before and it was nice but a lot of dough when all I am looking to do is add the reef bright pop.

Probably more than you're looking to do, but you can also mod it so that it's fully controllable so you can have sunrise/sunset effects and other features. I did this back in 2016:
