ATI powermodule came in!

After a while debating on switching from LED to T5s, I decided on the ATI powermodule with T5/LED combo

Finally came in! Can't wait to set this up tonight

4 bulbs with 2x 75 watt leds in the center. Powermodule 36" only had a 4 bulb or 8. I couldn't find the 6 bulb version

Thank you so much, I will def. need help with the LED setup. I havent fully decided which bulbs to use, but for initial set up, I will use 2x Blue + and 2x purple +. I have 2 blue + and 2 coral plus (extra) coming in tomorrow so I can try out various combinations

Nice. What is the tank size it will be on?

This will be only a 49 gallon tank. 36x17x17

It's replacing 2x Radion XR30 pros

Hey when you're free, mind if I take you up on your offer for the LED advice? When I was using Radions, I ran my LEDs at 40%, currently I have the LEDs on this unit set to 30%. Not sure if it's too low or if I should raise it. How do you run your LED settings? Blue, royal blues, etc etc?

I'm also running the same combo that you want to run with the 3 blue plus and 1 coral plus. I really like the color but was thinking of trying a purple plus instead of the coral plus. I don't think my dos would be to happy with that decision though.

I have all my blue leds and whites ramping up an hour before the first T5 bulbs come on.
Blue ramping up to 75%, than 4 bulbs come on and continue to ramp up to 100%, white is ramping up only to 25%.
Leds stay on the rest of the day.
One hour before the last set of bulbs turn off my leds ramp down, and continue to ramp down one hour after all bulbs are off.
I don't run the red led's, don't know why they used red and could use a some azure blue leds instead.
Will see if I can post a graphic of my schedule later on today.
Oh and I have setup a sunrise schedule, not sure if that works with only two sets of leds as I have four.

Also, you might know this better than I would... Do you think the 4 bulb with 2x 75watt led clusters will be enough to do any SPS I wanted? This is over a 36x17x17 tank, hanging about 10-12 inches above water line. Sorry, I never used T5s so I am not sure how strong they are compared to LEDs.

I really loved the radions, but after reading so much about T5s for SPS growth, color, and shadowing, I decided to make a switch to try them out. LEDs in general have issues with shadowing for SPS, and while T5s will have shadowing as well, it's not as bad as LEDs (from what I read). Since ATI had the Hybrid module, I get the best of both worlds, LED and T5s. I will report back later when I see growth, etc etc.

Thanks! I was sitting here debating if I should have gotten the 8 bulb.. haha. Good to know that the 4 is more than enough.

Any specific recommendation to start off the LED percentage? I was doing 40% with Radions before. Not sure how T5 + LEDs would work? Maybe start at 20-30%?
