ATI problem

Hi, i just got new bulbs about a week ago and now today all of a sudden one of my bulbs wont turn on. It is lighting up red in only 1 area. by the way, it is a blue+ bulb. Anyone know what happened?

I've had the same problem with this bulb from ati. Tagging along

It's a bad bulb...it happens from time to time...if the ballast was bad it would shut off more then one bulb because the are wired together...if you want to trouble shoot the ballast, try taking out the new bulb and putting an old one back in and see how it lights.

well it goes on sometimes and sometimes it doesn't. like for instance if i unplug it for a second and then back it back in.. it wont go back on. but it turns on everyday at 11am when it is set to. Also, before it turns on, on the right side it slowly dims and make a red light appear for a few seconds while the other light flickers and then it turns on. is that the ballast?

like I said change out the bulb and if it still does it it's the ballast on it's way out if not it's a bad bulb...I think it's a bad bulb...fyi ballast are cheap and easy to replace...almost the same price as a bulb.

ok thanks. i changed the bulb and then put the new one back on. its still doing it but its still going on. so we'll see what happens

I would call up Reef Geek and talk to one of there tec's...they are always willing to help.
