ATI Straton LED Light - Comments, Review, PAR, Coverage, Discuss...

Thanks gents. Although I haven’t seen the unit in person, it does remind me of a high end build/product. Very Apple. I have a propensity for such things ...

My tank is a custom/tweaked Elos 160xl and custom RE sump. Both are in crates ready to ship from Italy. Already speaking with a buddy about a custom frame for the three lights, to keep the beautiful aesthetics, and to keep them level bc I know my ocd will kick into overdrive if I cannot get them straight.

At 100% on all channels, at what ambient temperature do they automatically turn off?

Thanks for the input. Still leaning towards 3 units ;)

I have time to wait to see what the sky will look like bc I’m confident it will be something similar. Neptune keeps hinting a big reveal will happen next month at reefaplozza Orlando. If they put any orange trim on it I’ll be out.
Sounds like you're out then. I doubt T would let a product release without that gawdy colour scheme, it's a huge part of his 2016 era re-branding.

Sounds like you know something...!

Oh boy where to go with that one.

In terms of the Sky, I know it's a panel and that T had coralcare gen1's that needed actinic supplement. That's about the extent of it, so probably even less than most people know. BRS will probably be "totally independently" fawning over whatever it is soon enough to satisfy those on the fence.

Just wondering how ma I would need fo a 72 x 36 x 26 sps tank for full coverage
Hmm. I have 3 over a 58" so my fixtures are edge to edge. My tank is SPS dominant and I run only 70% peak which replicates the PAR of my old ATI 8 X 80 watt T5.

As they are 18.5" square each, going to 4 units would create visible overhang.

Going with 3 would be fine, maybe run them a little higher off the water, and run them a little harder than my 70%.

Thanks I to ran a 8 bulb ati

Does anyone know when they’ll be back in stock??

what settings do you use? i use sangokai for now, but of most i like Natural sea 10m preset. Hay anyone tested these settings, how do sps and lps react to it? I know that corals like blue... and in Natural sea preset mode, blue is not so high as in other settings. thanks

Does anyone know if the Meanwell driver is auto-switching? I am assuming the European version only requires a new power cord to work in North America?

Update: I googled the part number, it is universal input capable. I was not able to make out the power receptacle on the Meanwell. Is it an IEC-320 C13? (like a desktop PC power supply uses)

Most Meanwells are hard wired so unlikely to be like a pc power supply .

What I been told from the seller is I just need to switch the power cable out. I did not receive it yet so I can't confirm it right now.
