jjst hooked up my Sunpower. Soooo much light. Running with 5 blue plus 2 coral plus and 1 purple plus. Definitely not blue enough for my liking. Any advice other than adding a blue led how to get less white and more blue? Also I thought the 2 power cords were so I can run two bulbs on one channel and 6 on the other. Right now they all seem to work on one plug. Any idea which two bulbs are supposed to be on their own ballast are?

I have a 6 bulb, and the 2nd and 5th are on a separate ballast. There is a guy on Manhattan reefs selling his xho blue leds named sunny. Those would do the trick, maybe he'd ship? I forget the name of the led strips, but they're a direct bolt on to the ati fixtures.

Ok didn’t have the bulb in correctly. All good now. I will say the blue is a different color and not as pleasing as the radion. I’ll have to figure out a combination that looks similar. The blue is more of an aqua blue than a nice deep blue. Otherwise the fixture is great. I read that adding the reef brite xho strip would help but for now I’d rather not spend another 300.00 and try to figure it out with bulb combo. Is there a big difference between blue plus and actinic bulbs? If I swapped out a coral plus and added an actinic would that help?

Take out the purple plus and see if it's better, I hated the blue color with a single purple plus. I switched to just blue plus, coral plus and aqua blue special. That's the same bulb combo with my phone, no purple plus bulbs if you like that. It looks more like the top picture, white balance is skewed.

If you went from LED's to T5's, I don't think any ATI bulb config is going to help you achieve that deep of blue. It's just a different style of light; your best bet if you like that deep blue is to supplement with a Reefbrite.

Check out the Euroquatics E5 blue pop tubes - I put a comparison video on YouTube that shows the extra glow you get. I'd only ever have T5s with 2 E5 tubes now - they look great on the 2 bulb channel for the last hours of the evening.

There's also a 2 part video on YT on how to choose T5 bulbs that's really good - shows you the different colours that each bulb achieves.
