were is the best place to buy one ? with out braking the bank ? you can never find them used haha ( tells you how good they are )

ok here a ? for all you owning ati fixtures. My buddy just got his 48 inch 6 bulb sp from reef geek and the reflectors are very thin and bent very easy just changing a bulb.I swear they are only as thick as a soda can and i guess i was suprised by this after hearing how great they are etc.My tek reflectors are solid as can be but these ati ones look like from korea or some crap.I made this comment on another site and they said they werent thin on other fixtures. So my ? is to all you owners is this something ati just did now to lower cost or have they always been thin as a soda can and bend and dent with ease?

I am not sure what is being done when changing bulbs to bed the reflectors. I dont even touch the reflector to change the bulb. there is plenty of room on the ends for that. Its the film and the shape that make them work well. I just checked mine after reading this and I would have to be trying to bend them to make that happen. Or really not care at all about what I am doing.

How thick are yours?Like i said some that i talked to said that they are thicker and would be harder to even bend if tried unlike what his seems to be.Also his came in mail with the reflectors bent on one end.............Oh and lol maybe you have smaller hands.Jk im not sure what happend im thinking he didnt expect them to bend to crap by bumping them or whatever.

Good to see you here mojo i was just reading some things about your skimmer testing elsewhere.

You shouldn'y be touching the reflectors when changing bulbs.. The ATI reflectors are the highest quality reflectors you can get. Thickness of the reflector doesn't affect the light output. maybe its done so thin for wieght purposes.

ATI fixtures utilize the best reflective material available on the market with a reflective value of 98%. This increase in reflectivity is why they output 10% more light.

Ill grab my calipers and actually measure them for you. not tonight but I ll measure them for you.

The shop I work at has FIVE PowerModules in operation with a 6th coming online soon. In each case the fixture was well packed, and each bulb fired perfectly. These are by FAR the best option in a T5 fixture, and the light intensity and spread are something to see! We have a 4ft 8 bulb fixture over a tank that measures 5x30"Wx16"D and it is GREAT! Looks awesome too... Pictures coming soon. ;)

Alright so I emailed ATI and they replied really quick... Heres what they said:

"Dear Dylan,

The dimensions of our fixtures are:

(length x width x height)

sunpower
4x24W 588x240x60mm
4x39W 888x240x60mm
4x54W 1188x240x60mm
4x80W 1488x240x60mm
6x... ....x340x..mm

powermodule
The height is also 60 mm.
The length is for 24W-572mm, for 39W-872mm, for 54W-1173mm and for 80W-1473mm.
The width is for 4tubes-240mm, for 6tubes-346mm, for 8tubes-452mm and for 10tubes-558mm.

Technical the sunpower and the powermudul are nearly the same, but there are a few differences:
- The powermodule has a ventilator for each pair of bulbs. And the air flows constantly over the technic and the bulbs. So everything is perfectly cooled.
- The sunpower has one ventilator for four bulbs and two ventilators for the six bulb fixture.
- The appearence of the powermodule is very elegant because of its alluminium body."
