Hi guys....

I'm doing a 60g shallow reef tank.....it's 48 x 24 x 12 all in one tank by Advanced Acrylics. The overflow box size is 24 X 5, ....so that gives me a area of 43" x 24 x 12 usable space.

So what height do you think would you guys suggest

unit is the 36"- 4 bulb with controller. Ati suggested the 36 or the 48..

Mainly zoa's, some lps, and sps....to eventuality grow to frag for my MT...

I'm guessing 8 to 10" high......what do you guys suggest???

TIA...

I would go 6 bulb. 8-10" is a good height. Not sure how much more the dimmable fixture is but isn't necessary

I have the 48 inch ati dimmable over my 75. it's the 6 bulb. my tank is deeper than Yours. Running at 100% & about 13 inches above the water. I get 200+ par at the bottom .

I would get an 6 or 8 bulb fixture and place it 7 to 9" from water surface.
I'm not a fan of the dimmable because it's not necessary and when electricity goes out you'll need to set the time when it comes back. I didn't like that!
Grandis.
