Long story short, my cat freaked out and jumped on the top of my light. This caused the back side to dip into the tank, which tripped my breaker and shut power off to the tank. Reset the breaker and everything is fine but I have not plugged the light back in, is it ok to use? It probably only dipped in the water a little bit and for a few seconds. What can I do, any advice?

I would take it down if you can and dry it out as best you can. Remove the bulbs and clean them off. Dry with towels etc... you could also use a hair dryer to help speed the process. Make sure it's dry before you try running it. [emoji4]

Thanks, I'll get it down and dried out
as far as I can tell no bulbs broke

If any did then you should immediately run carbon and if you have a metsorb pad I'd run that also.

Agree! Im sure itll be fine, ive had this happen before with my ati fixture. Took a blowdryer to it for a little, and fired it back up. Got a few little screws and tiny spots that got rusted inside, otherwise its fine.

WD40 is your friend. Use it like Holy Water. It absorbs water. Spray everything and then wipe off excess.

I would rinse it in as HOT of water as you can get. The HOT water will almost dry it self when done.
Use to work on computers and people spilled everything in them coffee, pop, you name it. Hot water will not hurt electronics as long as it is dry before power is applied.

Currently unknown, took it down but had to do a double shift so I have not gotten it apart yet
