I took my 6x24 watt fixture down for a few months and decided to give a shot again.
I plugged it in and first thing I noticed was the fans were not working.
I figured the weak link these was the power supply and replaced it, but no fans.
So I pulled it apart and first thing I noticed was the 2 red wires.
I'm assuming they are suppose to be connected together.

I think the red wires go individually to their own fan.

I looked ( with a flash light and a magnifying glass) and could not find anywhere that it looked like they would attach to the fan body

I mean I'm not by any means an expert on electricity but I looked up some pictures of the ATI Sunpower opened up and the red wires going to the fans were not connected. Those look like basic computer case fans though so you might be able to rewire some replacements in if the receptacle for the red wire is too hard to access.

See how the red wire attaches to the fan in the second image?

Your fans have green corrosion in them where the wire would attach indicating saltwater or salty water vapor got to them and compromised the connection.

Looks like the cabling for the fans were broken off the fan. Just buy new fans from ATI's website for $10 each and replace them youself. Super easy to do.

I now see where the problem is.
Thanks everyone.

I guess I should do google searches first before I tear into stuff.
I found a youtube video on how to remove the fans without having to tear the whole case apart.

For those that might find this thread looking for answers:

Cheers

Thanks. I kind of went about this whole thing bass akwards.
Got the case all put back together and placed a order through the ATI parts store.
So now I'll just wait for the fans to be shipped.
